Onsemi’s Central IP division is responsible for the design, verification, silicon validation and support of reusable intellectual property (IP) that then enables custom ASIC and ASSP developments.

Currently, we have an opening for a Program Manager to join the IP team in Brno, Czech Republic. Program Manager manages the development process of a company’s IP Blocks. He/she coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing IP’s. Program Manager is responsible for the project from initiation through delivery including planning, driving execution of schedules, and monitoring budget/spending ensuring on-time completion and within budget constraints.

What will be your main responsibilities in the role?

  • You will closely cooperate with Technical Lead of the program.
  • Your main duty will be to manage IP Development cycle: Definition => Plan => Development => Validation => Closure.
  • Do you want to be responsible for the complete project? Perfect…You will represent team project to BU customers and report to management located in US.
  • You will engage in the management, tracking, and reporting of day-to-day project activities.
  • Creating and reviewing project plan including risk mitigation and effort/cost estimation will be among your responsibilities.
  • Learning, developing, adopting and implementing new methods for continuous improvement will be a key expectation.
  • Your everyday challenge will be to secure the timely execution of the project’s key milestones and deliverables.
  • You will be also responsible for coordinating all logistics with: Fab, Pilot line, Assembly House, HW supplier.

What are the requirements? / What about you?

  • You should have master or bachelor university degree (university degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are in this role highly appreciated.
  • In this role you will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You need to have already an experience with project / program management.
  • It will be great if you are a team player, results-oriented, open minded, willing to learn and apply new skills and concepts.
  • Are you able to and willing to work later in the afternoons? That is great because it is needed for the communication with US time zone.
  • You should have the knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word), and be familiar with collaboration (Wiki, Confluence) and ticketing (Jira) tools.
  • We will be glad if you know basics of the semiconductor technology and / or ASIC development flow is an advantage.

  • Meal Subsidy: There is a meal subsidy of 120 CZK per day.
  • Retirement: The company will contribute 2x the employee contribution but with a max company contribution of 6% of the gross salary for employees.
  • Accommodation support: For employees who decided to relocate from a different region, the company contributes to home rent during the first four years of employment or the company contributes to mortgage payments for those who decided to buy their home.
  • Sports and Cultural Activities Support: The employee receives an annual contribution for culture and sports activities
  • Children recreation: The employee receives an annual contribution for children recreation of max 1500 CZK per child per year. The employee becomes eligible after the probation period.
