We are looking for a Digital Design Director. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of digital designers, delivering leading-edge next-generation products that bring innovative solutions to life.
What You’ll Do
- Manage, hire, and mentor a team of product development engineers
- Lead, motive, train, and create career growth opportunities for your team members
- Collaborate with application Engineering, System Development, Product Definers, Firmware & Software Development teams on product features and architecture, IP development, design-for-test and design-for-manufacturing
- Provide technical leadership in driving architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications
- Own the technical outcome of design, verification, implementation and execution of your team’s products
- Identify, recommend and implement new systems, tools, processes, and technologies to improve design, reuse, and platform-based product development
What We’re Looking For
- MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 15+ years of professional experience in digital design and management
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
- Goal and outcome focused, with the ability to manage multiple projects within the team
- Ability to attract and retain key engineering talent
- Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges and concerns to all levels of management
- Solid understanding of digital design principles
- Proficiency in leading-edge design and verification concepts and tools
- Solid understanding of the RTL to GDS flow
- Advanced communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, DSPs and embedded firmware
- Knowledge of platform-based system design and compute architectures
- Experience of simplifying complex problems and solving them as a team
- Awareness of EMC design considerations
Why Should You Join Us
- Vacation: A full-time employee is entitled to 25 days a year.
- Sick Days: The employee is entitled to an additional 3 days off (70% paid) for acute illness, without doctor’s certificate (only for employees with a contract beginning at the latest the first working day in the given year or after one year).
- Bridge Days: When the public holiday takes place on a weekend day, the employee is free to take up this day whenever he prefers within the calendar year. This is applicable to employees with flexible working hours, with a contract beginning at the latest the first working day in the given year (or after one year).

- Homeworking: Selected employees can work from home. It must be approved by the manager and local HR, for defined cases and for limited periods. It can be a one-time action or regular home working.
- Corporate bonus: Active employees working in the non-operations group with a salary grade 9 and higher are eligible to the corporate bonus program. The target payout is a % of the base salary and linked to the pay grade.
- Commuting support: Company covers part of the costs of commuting in amount approx. 1000 CZK/month for those who commuting less than 10 Km. Employee contributes 6 CZK/Km (3 CZK/Km to and 3 CZK/Km from work) if employee commutes more than 10 Km.
- Sickness Policy: Company is completing the net salary (on top of the Czech Social Security) up to 80% of the net salary for the first 6 months of an employee’s sick leave and up to 50% of the net salary for the following 6 months. It is effective for all employees employed with the company longer than 6 months with a contract of indefinite duration.
- Meal Subsidy: Company canteen and meal subsidy on an average of 116 CZK per lunch taken in the company canteen.
- Retirement: Voluntary plan effective for all employees employed with the company longer than 6 months. The company contributes 1,5x the employee contribution but with a max company contribution of 3% of the gross salary for employees with simultaneous life insurance contribution and 2x the employee contribution but with a max company contribution of 6% of the gross salary for employees without simultaneous life insurance contribution.
- Accommodation support: For employees who decided to relocate from a different region, the company contributes to home rent during the first four years of employment or the company contributes to mortgage payments for those who decided to buy their home.
- Sports and Cultural Activities Support: The employee receives an annual contribution for culture and sports activities of approximately 2000 CZK per employee per year. The employee becomes eligible after the probation period.
- Seniority Award: Employees receive a monthly company contribution for sport and culture activities (applicable for health programs…) when reaching each 5 years anniversary of service at ON Czech Republic.
- Children recreation: The employee receives an annual contribution for children recreation of max 1500 CZK per child per year. The employee becomes eligible after the probation period.
